Wine Trail in Hill Country

Imagine the spring colors coming back out and the air being that perfect 71.
This past spring I traveled to Hill Country by San Antonio, Texas to
visit some wineries. When I say “some” I mean that, felt like we were
going to places right across the street from each other.

Participants: Myself (Sara), Ethan and a friend, Amy.

Dates: spring 2015

I was visiting San Antonio, TX where my friend recently moved to and I
thought . . . “Hey, let’s do Hill Country”. We spend the morning
google-ing and searching for wineries north of us heading to Austin.
We wanted to visit the wineries one day and if possible, go to one of
the many Texas Rivers to tube.

I am currently already part of a wine membership and get 3 bottles
every quarter, which is sometimes plenty. I was aware going in that
you pay for your samples (4) of wine and are offered a small snackie
to clean your taste buds prior to going to the next one. If you really
enjoy something, get a glass.
Our mission was to do as many tastings as possible without going
broke. I am in my mid 20’s and thinking of starting a family so trust
me, really frugal here.

**Special
So, as we were searching and looking for a winery nearby we found
something extraordinary instead. On a small dirt backroad, where we
circled a few times already, we found cryogenic preservation facility. Locked up tight. We think Walt Disney is there. Frozen!

Pine market
Live music. Cute guy. Free drinks. Had fun.

Fat Ass Ranch
An awesome place to just hang out. Will return.

Messina Hof
Fredericksburg
Haha. Too busy. Too pricey.

Bluebonnets
Ever since 2007 when I was coming back from a trip with my college, I
have wanted to get out of the car on I-45 North to take photos with
the wildflowers and bluebonnets. Did this in ‘07/’08 and now, once
again, we found ourselves surrounded by these gorgeous spring flowers.
With much persistence I continued to ask that we pull over and finally
he did. My friend, Amy, and I got out and found a comfortable, NOTHING
IS COMFORTABLE, and not so poky spot to take photos.
Remind you, by this time we had plenty wine to drink and this was one
of the most amazing things we could possibly be doing. I even
convinced Ethan to come and join the fun on the prickly ground.

Stopped somewhere near to eat.

PING

Good evenin' folks,

I saw this while I was creating my Facebook page and loved it. This photo was taken in Spain January 2015 during our Spain new years trip via EF College Break. Last year to travel with them due to age.
I want to say this was in Sevilla, Spain. Where they actually filmed Games of Thrones scenes for this current's season. This was called "The Most Romantic Spot".
